talking yelling calling nurturing loving each other all
through dull empty sunny hot days all
through lashings of stormy rain cyclone winds all
through childhood summer evenings all
through teenage wanna-be grown-up angst all
through job stress late nights and meltdowns all
through new babies dirty diapers scraped knees all
through school uniforms sport uniforms all
through birthdays baptism marriage all
through life events memories family album all
through it all this tinned hot shoe box stands guard shielding all
